If someone told you that it was possible for you to lose those extra inches that you have been carrying around your waist without eating any less food would you believe them? You should. If you make a few changes in your lifestyle you will be able to shed those pounds, feel better about yourself, and smile when you look at yourself in the mirror. You need to have the right attitude, you need to change when you eat, you need to eliminate stress, and you need to add just a little exercise. All of these are very easy to accomplish and will set you off on your weight loss journey.
The most important part of losing weight no matter how you eventually go about the physical part of it is your mental attitude. You have heard other people talk about how you can do anything with the proper mental attitude. That is most definitely true. Most of the battle to lose those pounds and inches is going to occur inside your head. In order to succeed and accomplish your goals you have to want to succeed. Yes, that sounds simple, of course you want to succeed. But do you really want it, and are you ready to make the changes you need to make right now? You need to be.
You need to change your eating patterns. Your weight loss will be quicker and easier if you eat healthier but that isn’t really what this is about. You have been taught since you were a child that you should eat three meals a day. Sorry, but mom was wrong. You should be eating smaller meals more often. You don’t necessarily need to cut down your total calorie intake but you do need to spread it out over a longer period of time. Instead of those three meals, divide you food intake into at least five and preferably six smaller meals spread out over the course of the day. Exactly when you eat them should be determined by when you get hungry. Don’t eat if you aren’t hungry, but don’t let yourself get famished.
Eliminate as much stress as you can from your life. The largest factor that causes you to eat when you aren’t hungry is stress. Eating releases chemicals in your body that make you feel better. By eliminating the stress you will be eliminating the need that your body has to feel better through eating.
Start exercising. No, you don’t have to join a gym, buy some fancy exercise equipment, or look like an idiot in neon colored workout clothes. You need to start walking. You don’t need to put in mile after mile either, a half hour leisurely stroll each day will get the job done. Many studies have shown that just making this one change to your lifestyle can result in losing one pound per week.
That’s it, just four little changes to your lifestyle and you can lose a few of those pounds without eating less. You need to have the right mindset, spread out your food intake over a longer period of time, eliminate the stress from your life, and walk a little every day. You will soon be looking better and feeling better.
